Attention E-Cigarette Users
The supervising body has received complaints about the usage of e-cigarettes in the Lodge. After investigating the appropriate measures to be taken, it has been determined that the usage of e-cigarettes is strongly discouraged. Users are asked to refrain from using those devices in the building. Effective April 1, 2018 e-cigarette users should enjoy their devices outdoors. A fact sheet produced by the Michigan Department ofHealth and Human Services, Division of Chronic Disease and Injury Control, Tobacco Division states "Although e-cigarettes are not covered under Michigan's smoke-free law, businesses may set their own policy banning the use of e-cigarettes in their establishment. Based on information from the Federal Food and Drug Administration (FDA), we encourage businesses to adopt such a policy. Currently, e-cigarettes are not approved by the FDA.

Care Pack for Kids
The Lodge has created a wonderful program to assist young children in the Traverse City area. CARE PACK 4 KIDS is backpack food program that discreetly provides nutritious, child-friendly, easy-to-prepare food to chronically hungry children in every day backpacks to take home over the weekends and out-of-school times. This wonderful program for children nourishes the body that nourishes the mind and benefits the children by providing nutrition, eases their anxieties, reduces absenteeism, improves attention span, raises academic performance and increases self esteem. 50th Anniversary of Lodge Dedication
Celebrating the 50th anniversary of residence in our current location was milestone event. The old Lodge burned on December 12, 1963 and the Lodge moved into the old Osteopathic Hospital on August 5, 1965. Pictures of the old hospital and the new Lodge were superimposed on cakes that made the event special.
